Congratulations to Damodar North Pte Limited on launching the Ramada Encore by Wyndham – Labasa Damodar City! With a $10 million investment in construction and fitout, the new 40-room hotel will offer premium amenities including a conference venue, swimming pool, and gym, catering to both business and leisure travellers as well as provide employment opportunities for locals, and boost economic activity in Labasa.

Today, Tyler-Rae represented the Fiji Surfing Association with pride, following the successful conclusion of the WSL Fiji Pro. As a gesture of thanks, Tyler visited the Tourism Fiji office and presented the Corona Fiji Pro lalli to show appreciation for our support. Exciting July for Fiji! In July, we welcomed 98,332 visitors, surpassing last year’s numbers by 5%! It’s been an incredible month, with 80% of travellers coming to enjoy a holiday in our beautiful islands. Additionally, 10% visited friends and family and 2% were here for business or conferences. Our top source markets continue to impress. Australia led the way with 42,029 visitors, making up 43% of the total. New Zealand followed with 27,676 arrivals (28%), and the USA contributed 11,440 visitors (11.6%). Other markets include China, Europe, the UK, and Japan. Europe, in particular, saw significant growth, with Germany, France, and Italy making notable contributions. This month’s estimated earnings reached $351 million. Year-to-date, we've welcomed 545,487 visitors, accounting for 59% of our total annual arrivals and generating $1.9 billion in earnings.
