Companies are increasingly reversing traditional recruitment methods by creating bespoke job roles to attract top talent, according to an article by HR Daily Advisor. Such roles are tailored to the unique skills and aspirations of exceptional individuals, fostering a sense of ownership, purpose, and loyalty leading to higher levels of engagement and performance. This contemporary practice, however, may have downsides including budget constraints and potential disruption to team dynamics. Best practices for creating bespoke roles include conducting thorough strategic analyses, maintaining transparent communication, and setting clear performance expectations. These steps can help maximise the potential benefits whilst mitigating risks associated with creating positions for specific individuals. #HRStrategy #JobDesign #TalentAttraction Can be seen at: https://lnkd.in/gAB-GQAs.

The IHS Workforce Parity Act, led by Senators Catherine Cortez Masto and Markwayne Millen, has been proposed to a Senate panel to reform recruitment and retention of health care workers at Indian Health Service (IHS) facilities. The bill would allow part-time healthcare providers to access IHS scholarships and loan repayment programs, aligning with the policies of the National Health Service Corps (NHSC). It strengthens the effort to fill the high vacancy rates in these institutions especially in Nevada with rates possibly reaching up to 50%. The legislation is necessary as many IHS facilities lack full-time healthcare providers, leading to poor health outcomes for tribal communities. The proposal adheres to the Trust Responsibility agreement that ensures the US government protects tribal treaty rights, lands, resources, and health care. #INDIGENOUS #NativeAmericanHealth #USLegislation #HealthcareReform https://lnkd.in/gNcGkq3f

The Disclosure and Barring Service (DBS) has issued a warning about fraudsters coaxing job seekers into paying for non-existent DBS checks as part of advanced fee scams. Typically, victims are encouraged to pay in advance for recruitment administration, including what they are led to believe is part of a DBS check to go forward with the employment offer. DBS has compiled a list of tips for job seekers to avoid falling for such scams, and these coincide with the Home Office's 'Stop! Think Fraud' campaign. The advice includes; beware of 'CRB' checks, DBS only applies to certain job roles, check legitimacy of employers asking for DBS checks and consider if the fee being asked for is viable. DBS will be hosting a 15-minute LinkedIn webinar on Wednesday 21st February from 2pm, offering sector guidance to help job seekers stay safe. #RecruitmentScams #ProtectYourself #JobSearch #Stop!ThinkFraud #DBSChecks https://lnkd.in/gD5GpaCt
