The REACH Foundation's favorite tradition continues! Shamrock 'n Run 5K, 2K & SQUARE Course is bringing the Placentia-Yorba Linda community together, Thousands of families have participated in this festive and fun community event while raising funds to support programs and events for our students.
For those whose dogs are going to run with them on the 5k or 2k, below are the guidelines from Yorba Regional Park.
* Dogs must be on a leash at all times in the park.
* Leash must be no longer than 6 in length.
* Leash must be a physical leash not ECollar.
* Participants must have doggie bags with them to clean up any mess as they go along the trail.
* Dogs should be sufficiently socialized as to not be a danger to other participants or park patrons (including in a "race" environment with lots of people running/walking)

The 5K course will start and finish in the outfield grass area of a City of Anaheim ball field at Yorba Regional Park. The trail will wind through Yorba Regional Park and return on the dirt trail parallel to the Santa Ana River (not the bike trail). The course will be timed but not certified again this year. The surfaces will include grass, dirt, cement and asphalt. The race will use electronic fobs, allowing for a staggered start. 18 years old and younger will be given a $5 discount during registration. Free Kiwanis Pancake Breakfast for all registrants! The REACH Foundation will be including in the registration confirmation email the amount of the tax deduction potentially available (please consult with your tax professional). The amount will be between $14.10 and $30.10 per event depending on which event, if multi events, and the timing of the payment. -

SQUARE Course

The Square Course is the ultimate Yorba Ninja Warrior obstacle course, consisting of tire flipping, tire foot drag, a 3-cone shuttle run, and an under-net-crawl. This year the course will be designed to test your strength, speed, and agility for ages 8 and older. Various sizes of tires will be available from small car tires to off road Jeep/Truck tires. The course will be contained within the ball field infield. The competition will consist of several athletes at a time completing the three stages. Athletes may complete the competition any time between 8:15 am and 11:00 am. If a competitor runs the event multiple times, only the first run will count in the competition. However, if there is time available, the Square Course Director may allow for non timed practice runs.
