For those who are still planning your holiday trip to Saariselkä, Lapland: Easy and fun route recommendations in Saariselkä Part 5/x: Piispanoja loop This is an easy ride for the whole family. From the national park gate, head south towards Laanila, where you can enjoy your coffee and donuts (for kids only 😉) of at Savottakavila @laanilan_savotta. From there it's just 2km's to Piispanoja to grill the sausages. After the delicious break, it's time to head back to Saariselkä over Välimaa hill. Note: With a small detour, you can also visit the remnants of the Lapland gold rush, namely the Prospektor mine. Highly recommended! Easy and fun mountain biking route recommendations in Saariselkä Part 4/x: There's still summer left, but the nightless night and 24hrs sunlight is starting to fade away. Now it's time to climb up to the fells and go watch the sun setting behind the fells again! You can watch the sunset from almost any fell, but there is something special here in Ahopää. The easiest way to climb these sceneries is from Suomen Latu Kiilopää. Ask our Saariselkä rental company for an overnight rental offer!

Things to do for your holiday: Easy and fun route recommendations in Saariselkä Part 3/x, Kulmakuru. The Kulmakuru route, classified as demanding and 30 km in length, is one of the absolute classic routes in the Saariselkä area. Along the way, you'll find stunning forest trails, a couple of river crossings, and a hut with a fireplace to have a needed break. And of course, the main attraction itself: the majestic Kulmakuru, which turns at a 90° angle and lives up to its name! Prepare to the wet shoes and big smiles!

Still on holiday? Go nightpacking! Midnight sun season is ending in two weeks in Saariselkä and bike packing season is starting. Our recent favourite has been one-nighters aka night-packing-excursions. Just grab some camping stuff on your bike and go ride on top of nearest fell.
