📣 NDF has announced its EUR 12 million financing to the Africa Urban Sanitation Investment Initiative (AUSII), which is hosted by the African Development Bank Group and its African Water Facility, where NDF has been a co-financier and a strategic ally. 🤝 AUSII will focus on access to sanitation on the continent and develop new bankable and investment-ready projects to increase urban sanitation services and to strengthen #ClimateResilience 💧 🌍 “Africa has the lowest sanitation access levels in the world. With AUSII, we aim to provide innovative and socially inclusive solutions to solve this challenge, especially as the impacts of climate change worsen. We at NDF are ready to roll our sleeves and continue this collaboration with partners,” said Satu Santala at the #WorldWaterWeek. With our changing climate come unprecedented uncertainties and more frequent climate hazards and disasters. We need to build more #ClimateResilience and adapt. 🌿 The Community Resilience Partnership Program, led by the Asian Development Bank (ADB), aims to empower communities, especially women and girls, facing climate change. "Women are known to be at the frontlines of the #ClimateCrisis. They are vulnerable when it comes to traditional structures, having voice, having access. In our #ResultsReport, we showcase the results of The Off-Grid Energy Access Fund (OGEF). The Fund helps solve this problem by providing debt financing to local companies that bring #CleanEnergy to people living off the grid. ☀️ OGEF portfolio companies support a wide range of local entrepreneurs; Bboxx offers televisions, lighting, torches and radios for shop owners. SunCulture sells solar lighting kits and televisions powered by the sun and batteries for farmers. BioLite has cooking systems, home solar systems and chargers, and sells to local retail stores and even to the developed market.
