 This week in Helsinki was one for the books, filled with insights, innovation, and inspiration from our 90 Day Finns. #TGIF! 🎉 👾 We kicked off the week with a visit to Europe's first decacorn, Supercell, where our participants got a firsthand look at why Helsinki is the mobile gaming capital of the world (at least that's what the BBC called us). We learned about Supercells unique approach to game development – releasing 6 games while 'killing' over 30. 💸 We hosted a compelling panel on Diversity, Equity, and Inclusion (DEI) in Investment featuring insights from our 90 Day Finns, Sagar (Beyond Impact VC) & Staci (Dream Big Ventures LLC), board member Riku Asikainen (Evli Growth Partners), and Suvi Collin (FVCA - Pääomasijoittajat). Did you know that globally, less than 8-10% of investment professionals in senior roles are women? We talked about how together we can work to shape more inclusive investment strategies in Helsinki and the world. 🤝 Our annual 90 Day Finn Alumni Gathering brought together over 50 past and present 90 Day Finns to share growth stories and exchange ideas. The day featured speed dating and a thought-provoking discussion on "How the world is today" led by Stefan Lindström, Ambassador of Technology at the Ministry for Foreign Affairs of Finland. We also explored the intersection of Human-Centric Design and AI with insights from Professor Laura Ruotsalainen (University of Helsinki) and tech entrepreneur George Tang (90 Day Finn 2022). The day ended with a Baltic Sea swim, sauna, and camaraderie at Villa Furuvik—celebrating #BalticSeaDay. ✊ The week culminated with a powerful discussion on Female-Led Businesses and Investments. We heard inspiring keynotes from Marja-Leena Haapanen (Naisten Oma Pörssiklubi Oy - Ladies Own Bource Club Finland), Ekaterina Gianelli (Calm/Storm), and Staci LaToison (Dream Big Ventures LLC & 90 Day Finn 2024).  These conversations sparked actionable ideas to further elevate women in business and solidify Helsinki’s role as a leader in female entrepreneurship. This week was a powerful reminder of Helsinki’s potential as a global business hub—where innovation, diversity, and community come together to create lasting impact.
