Our Head of Communications Marika Voss graduated from WIGLDP Cohort 7 last week. Congrats! 👏
🎓 Graduation! A year-long journey came to an end last week in St Andrews, as my Women in Golf Leadership Development Programme (Cohort 7) group celebrated our graduation. It's still a bit hard to put all the experiences and lessons into words, but my overwhelming feelings are pride and happiness. I’ve grown both professionally and personally, and it was great to share some lightbulb moments even during graduation. The journey of self-reflection and leadership studies took me to some exciting and daunting places, but these amazing women around me supported me every step of the way. 🙏 Thank you all! Definitely made some life-long friends 😍 Special thanks to our coaches Alison Townson and Dr Jenny Denyer, and of course, the inspiring woman behind all things WIG, Jackie Davidson from The R&A. Big thanks also to my employer, Suomen Golfliitto – Finnish Golf Union, and my colleagues for being my “lab rats” and putting up with my experiments, especially my line manager Juha Korhonen. 🙌 We ended our project group presentation with the quote: "Instead of being irreplaceable, aim to be unforgettable." This resonates with me deeply, and has gained even more meaning throughout this year. I’m proud to now be part of the WIG legacy. 💫
