Whoopi Goldberg, Sunny Hostin, Alyssa Farah Griffin, Sara Haines, Joy Behar, and Ana Navarro will be off-air beginning Monday, Dec. 23, and won't return to share their thoughts on the latest in pop culture and politics until Jan. 6, 2025. But that doesn’t mean they’ll be leaving View-ers empty-handed this holiday season. Instead, the ABC series will air reruns for the next two weeks that feature a variety of past discussions as well as interviews with guest stars. ABC/JEFF LIPSKY Joy Behar says she doesn’t believe in the afterlife: 'I don’t want another life, it’s fine' The View celebrated its final episode of 2024 with its annual holiday show last Friday, which featured an interview with Jamie Lee Curtis as well as a performance from American Idol alum Jordin Sparks. Other guests that stopped by the studio that week include Mufasa star Billy Eichner, upcoming Golden Globes host Nikki Glaser, and The Six Triple Eight star and director Kerry Washington and Tyler Perry, respectively. The festive season has been heavy on The View’s mind in recent weeks as the show celebrates its 12 Days of Holidays extravaganza, which has seen Haines crash a go-kart into Goldberg’s leg during a toy segment and Behar confess that she got into a fight with her husband after accidentally opening an Amazon package that contained one of her Christmas presents. The show’s winter wonderland-themed set also injected a bit of the holiday spirit into even their most serious political interviews, including a discussion with Pennsylvania Sen. John Fetterman about President Joe Biden’s decision to pardon Biden's son, Hunter. And, because they don’t call it the season of giving for nothing: Behar also recently shared an anecdote about the time she hired an assistant because the woman used to work at an organization that encouraged organ donations. Or, as she told it: “I thought, ‘In case I need the liver, I’m hiring this bitch!’” The View will return in the New Year with Hot Topics and even hotter takes beginning on Jan. 6 at 11 a.m. ET/10 a.m. PT on ABC.
