On Thursday, Netflix dropped the first teaser for season 6 of Virgin River, coming to the streamer on Dec. 19. It features a flashback to Jack (Martin Henderson) asking Mel (Alexandra Breckenridge) to marry him, including a montage of some of the most memorable moments in their relationship over the last five seasons. Then, it shows glimpses of season 6, including Jack being fitted for a tux, Mel going off to a hot pink Hummer limo (for what we can only guess is her bachelorette party), and even a shot of Mel's wedding dress. Courtesy of Netflix Netflix also shared three new photos from the season, including a close-up of Mel and Jack sharing a tender moment, one of them in the empty barn where they're planning to hold the wedding, and another of the duo getting cozy on top of a blanket on the hood of Jack's truck. Courtesy of Netflix The teaser asks fans to "Save the Date" for the new season, which will not only focus on the run-up to the highly anticipated nuptials of Mel and Jack, but will also escalate complicated love triangles, dig in to the secrets of Mel's father's past, and even transport viewers to Virgin River in the 1970s. The series will pick up a few months after where it left off in the season 5 holiday episodes, with Mel and Jack planning their wedding, Mel trying to learn more about her new-found biological father, Everett (John Allen Nelson), and Preacher (Colin Lawrence) facing his upcoming trial in the death of Wes (Steve Bacic).
