EW's editorial guidelines Published on December 20, 2019 03:12PM EST Don’t cry just yet, bebes. Yes, the Schitt’s Creek final season trailer reminds us this is it for the Rose family comedy, but there are also a lot of laughs and a lot more drama to enjoy. The teaser opens with Moira (Catherine O’Hara), Johnny (Eugene Levy), and Stevie (Emily Hampshire) recording what appears to be a television ad for the Rosebud Motel, only John isn’t allowed to speak. No, this is Moira’s time to shine… again. It’s great to see this wig connoisseur in good spirits after receiving the news that the premiere for her big movie, The Crows Have Eyes III: The Crowening, was canceled. (Although, is it really?) Meanwhile, Jocelyn (Jennifer Robertson) has something to read Moira that she wrote: “Yes, there will be blood. And, yes, you will be horrorstruck.” Alexis (Annie Murphy) is also still in town even though we thought she was supposed to go meet Ted (Dustin Milligan) in the Galapagos, which is something David (Dan Levy) mentions when planning his wedding to Patrick (Noah Reid). “I once dated someone who left me for a stuffed animal,” he says. “I’m not having my big day—our big day—compromised because Alexis wanted to chill in a tankini for six months.” There’s also plenty of tears with all the emotional speeches between David and Alexis, David and Patrick, Patrick and Johnny, and Johnny and Roland (Chris Elliott). The final season will premiere on Pop TV this Jan. 7 at 9 p.m. local time. A premiere date for Netflix is expected to be announced sometime in 2020.
