Candace Cameron Bure and Lacey Chabert — who each have already starred in six Hallmark holiday movies — will headline their seventh holiday movie for Hallmark Channel later this year, EW has learned exclusively. Bure will anchor an adaptation of Beth Harbison’s novel A Shoe Addict’s Christmas. The Fuller House star plays Noelle, a holiday hater who toils in a department store in which she is accidentally locked on Christmas Eve. There, she meets a woman who identifies herself as Noelle’s guardian angel and introduces her to several “ghosts” of Christmases past, present, and future. Bure was most recently seen playing twin sisters in 2017’s Switched for Christmas, and she traveled through time playing a World War II nurse in current times in 2016’s Journey Back to Christmas. She also assumed the role of a stranded airline passenger who finds love in 2015’s A Christmas Detour. Her first Hallmark Christmas movie dates back 10 years ago to 2008’s Moonlight and Mistletoe. Chabert will star in a different adaption: Pride and Prejudice and Mistletoe, which is based on Melissa de la Cruz’s book of the same name. In a Yuletide-themed, gender-swapping update of the classic Jane Austen novel, Chabert plays Darcy Fitzwilliam, a smart and successful woman who has a glamorous dating life but has not fallen in love. She is also short on Christmas cheer. When her mother becomes sick, though, she returns home, setting in motion a turn of events that could lead to a very happy New Year. Like Bure, the alum of Party of Five and Mean Girls has a made it a habit of doing an annual Hallmark holiday movie in recent years, playing a pastry chef who enters a gingerbread competition in 2017’s The Sweetest Christmas, a web designer who shows the holiday spirit to her boss in 2016’s A Wish For Christmas, and a widowed mother who spars with Mariah Carey in 2015’s A Christmas Melody. Hallmark Channel has also enlisted LeAnn Rimes to star this year in It’s Christmas, Eve, in which the singer will perform two of three original songs she penned for the movie. Via Hallmark Channel and sister channel Hallmark Movies & Mysteries, Hallmark will unleash a record 34 Christmas movies starting this fall, which you can read all about here.
