TV See every contestant who advanced on The Voice season 25 — and which celeb coach's team they're on Here's where all "The Voice" hopefuls landed during the Blind Auditions. By Maggie Fremont Maggie Fremont Maggie Fremont is a freelance writer at Entertainment Weekly. EW's editorial guidelines Updated on March 12, 2024 10:00PM EDT Look at that, The Voice is 25! I hope it’s making lots of mistakes on the way to truly finding itself, you know? That’s what your mid-twenties are for. Also, in the world of reality singing competitions, season 25 also means going boldly where it’s never gone before: the double chair! Okay, that sounds less exciting in writing than they make it out to be on the show, but introducing our first coaching pair on this version of The Voice is kind of fun. As you’ve no doubt heard, the honor of being the first goes to country duo Dan + Shay (who got a taste of coaching last season when they filled in for Niall Horan during a rehearsal). They’ll be joining returning coaches Reba McEntire, John Legend, and Chance the Rapper. While the idea of a coaching duo is cool, what actually seems most interesting coming out of this season is the fact that we have two major country acts on the coaching dias. Will we have several Reba vs. Dan + Shay head-to-heads for contestants in the Blind Auditions? Will one country coach reign supreme when all is said and done this season? Or will the country overload leave room for John Legend or Chance the Rapper to sneak in one of their contestants to take over the Voice title from last season’s winner, Team Niall’s rocker/Thor, Huntley? We’ll have to wait and see. This season, each of our four teams have 10 spots for contestants in the Blind Auditions. Follow along below for how teams are shaking out after every Blind Audition performance night. Chance the Rapper, Shay Mooney, Reba McEntire, Dan Smyers, John Legend.
