Netflix just delivered an early Christmas gift for fans of Stranger Things.

To celebrate the series' final season — and its official wrap on production — the streamer dropped 10 behind-the-scenes photos from the past year on set. The fifth season, consisting of eight new episodes, will be released sometime in 2025.

As previously reported, Stranger Things season 5 will include a time jump to the fall of 1987, more than a year after the events of season 4. When we last saw the beleaguered residents of Hawkins, Ind., Eleven (Millie Bobby Brown), Mike (Finn Wolfhard), Will, Hopper (David Harbour), Joyce (Winona Ryder), Nancy (Natalia Dyer), and Jonathan (Charlie Heaton) were watching in horror as portals from the Upside Down burst open in their town, unleashing the nightmares of the Upside Down into their town. Max (Sadie Sink), meanwhile, remained comatose in the hospital after being killed by Vecna (Jamie Campbell Bower) and then revived by Eleven.

"The end of this episode when we were reading it, just us reading it, about halfway through, people started crying," star David Harbour said of the series finale table read, during an interview with the Happy Sad Confused podcast in October. "Then about the last 20 minutes, it was just uncontrollably crying, waves of different people."

In November, Netflix released a teaser revealing the titles of all eight episodes, which include "The Crawl," "The Turnbow Trap," "Sorcerer," "Shock Jock," "Escape From Camazotz," "The Bridge," and "The Rightside Up."
