Nikki Glaser's parents apologize for calling out Julia Roberts over Travis Kelce video: 'Weird, not gross'

Edward and Julie Glaser seemed to enjoy the media attention they attracted following the viral moment.

The latest famous(-ish) people to offer an apology? None other than the mom and dad of comedian Nikki Glaser, who say that they're sorry for their comments about movie star Julia Roberts and Travis Kelce, the Kansas City Chiefs tight end, aka Taylor Swift's boyfriend.

Edward and Julie Glaser's famous daughter had shared the footage of them seeing the Oscar-winning actress and the jock interact at a Dublin stop on Swift's Eras Tour. After seeing the footage of her putting her hands on his chest, Julie said, "She's so gross." Edward remarked that, "The scratching is weird."

On Tuesday, they issued a cheeky apology, in another social media post by their daughter, who captioned it, "My parents finding out their innocuous comments from my IG story got picked up by the press...."

Glaser recorded her parents in more casual conversation.

"I'm issuing an apology right now," Julie said with a laugh. "I meant to say just weird, not gross and weird."

The parents laughed at news stories about their comments.

"They didn't get my quote," Edward quipped, "where I said, 'She's used to people acquiescing to whatever she wants. And then later I said, 'I'll acquiesce to whatever she wants.'"

The pair still agreed that the scratching that Roberts appeared to do on Kelce's chest was not something that they would do.

Julie added, "Julia Roberts, she's a good actress. But a terrible flirt."

Some Swifties appeared to feel the same way.
