EW's editorial guidelines Published on April 17, 2019 08:10AM EDT Beyoncé Knowles-Carter has done it again. With the release of her Netflix concert film, Queen Bey surprised the world again by dropping an unexpected Homecoming album, a live album version of the same Coachella concert performance featured on Netflix. Knowles made the secret album drop her thing in 2013 and kept that tradition going with her Lemonade album and "Everything Is Love," the latter she created with husband Jay-Z. Homecoming, the album, features recordings of "Crazy In Love," "Freedom," "Formation," "Bow Down," "Drunk in Love," and "Lose My Breath" (featuring Destiny's Child vets Kelly Rowland and Michelle Williams), and more from when she delivered a jaw- and mic-dropping 2018 Coachella set, with a concept that paid tribute to America's historically black colleges and universities. The 40-track collection also features Blue Ivy's version of "Lift Every Voice and Sing," as well as bonus tracks "Before I Let Go" and "I Been On." Knowles delivered a second performance at Coachella that year, recreating what has been dubbed Beychella, but most recordings only existed in bootleg form from attendees' smart phones… until now. Netflix's Homecoming concert doc brings "the emotional road from creative concept to cultural movement," per an official description, and shows more intimate behind-the-scenes moments as the singer prepared for the show. <iframe allow="autoplay *; encrypted-media *;" frameborder="0" height="450" sandbox="allow-forms allow-popups allow-same-origin allow-scripts allow-storage-access-by-user-activation allow-top-navigation-by-user-activation" src="https://embed.music.apple.com/us/album/homecoming-the-live-album/1460070932" width="" class="" scrolling="no" allowfullscreen="" resize="0" replace_attributes="1" name=""></iframe>ã^u÷~ŸóWÚÛMwõmÖžóûÛ®üñþënt Related content: Netflix releases first trailer for Beyoncé's Homecoming documentary Netflix teases Homecoming documentary about Beyoncé's iconic 2018 Coachella set Beyoncé slays second Coachella performance with new costumes, surprise guests Close
