EW's editorial guidelines Published on October 3, 2023 10:18AM EDT In celebration of Oct. 3 — the hallowed day of our lord and savior, Aaron Samuels — you can now watch Mean Girls online for free... in 23 parts on TikTok. To commemorate the sacred third day of October, also known as the day Aaron (Jonathan Bennett) asked Cady Heron (Lindsay Lohan) what day it was in the beloved 2004 teen comedy, Paramount has debuted the full movie on the social media site. Additionally, fans can participate in a TikTok Live watch party of the movie on the studio's official page, beginning Tuesday at 7 p.m. ET/4 p.m. PT. Oct. 3 celebrations have ramped up this year in particular, ahead of the upcoming release of the Mean Girls movie musical in January. The film, adapted from writer Tina Fey's 2018 Broadway adaptation of the film, features a new cast including Angourie Rice taking over for Lohan as Cady, a teenager who transfers to a new high school and, after befriending a duo of local outcasts (Auliʻi Cravalho and Jaquel Spivey in the new version), hatches a plot to take down a group of popular queen bees (Reneé Rapp, Bebe Wood, and Avantika Vandanapu). Rachel McAdams, Lacey Chabert, and Amanda Seyfried portrayed the titular trio in the first iteration of the story, which went on to become a modern classic after grossing $130 million at the global box office upon its initial release. "I don't see a way to shoehorn us in," McAdams told Bustle in April, adding that "if Tina can figure it out, I'm there, for sure." Mean Girls debuts Jan. 12 in theaters.
