By Ben Trivett Published on August 6, 2024 05:48PM EDT It was hot. It was crowded. It was fun! Lollapalooza celebrated its 20th year in Chicago (Aug. 1-4,) with some of the most exciting acts to date and Entertainment Weekly was there to document it all. Things kicked off last Thursday with one of this year's hottest new stars, Chappell Roan, who drew a crowd large enough (possibly the biggest ever) to pack the main stage field in Grant Park. Meanwhile, Megan Thee Stallion and Hozier split the two headlining slots and did not fail to impress. Over the next three days, fans and artists alike braved the heat and humidity to enjoy eight stages of live performances, fantastic local food, and experience one of the summer's best festival.
