Lauren Graham and Yanic Truesdale appeared together in front of a glowing Christmas tree in a smiling selfie posted to Truesdale's Instagram account Monday. "We don't get to see each other often enough @laurengraham but when we do it's always a treat," he wrote. "Hoping you get to see your loved ones this week. Happy holidays." Graham and Truesdale appeared together on all seven seasons of the beloved mother-daughter dramedy, as Lorelai Gilmore and her frenemy co-worker Michel Gerard. Where Lorelai was free-spirited, upbeat, and optimistic yet pragmatic, Michel was relentlessly pessimistic, mopey, and standoffish, concealing an inner sensitivity and, as time rolled by, a deep attachment to Lorelai, whom he was only pretending to loathe. The actor spent nearly all his Gilmore screen time with Graham, making this reunion a special treat for fans who still yearn for more. There seems to be a greater fellow feeling between the Gilmore Girls ensemble than is often observed among the casts of other series, as reunions have been a frequent occurrence in the years since they last set foot in Stars Hollow. Graham also reunited with her Gilmore flame Scott Patterson (and Sean Gunn) in a recent holiday-themed Walmart ad, which was set in a wintry, snow-blanketed Stars Hollow. Truesdale is also set for a professional reunion with Gilmore Girls creators Amy Sherman-Palladino and Daniel Palladino for their upcoming Prime Video ballet drama, Étoile. The actor will appear in a recurring role as Raphael, the faithful assistant to Charlotte Gainsbourg's Genevieve, the head of a Parisian ballet company.
