Kevin Hart jokes Jimmy Fallon 'pissed my son off' with song: 'You were being an ass'

While honoring this year's recipient of the Mark Twain Prize for American Humor, "The Tonight Show" host got in some jokes of his own.

The Mark Twain Prize for American Humor is nothing to laugh about. At least that's what Kevin Hart would have you believe. The comedian (and Borderlands star) was recently awarded the top honor in American comedy, and celebrated it with an appearance on The Tonight Show this week.

Host Jimmy Fallon was also present at Hart's prize ceremony, where he sang a song in the man's honor. But Hart's children weren't fans of that performance. Fallon pulled out a photo on The Tonight Show that showed Hart's kids covering their ears while Fallon performed for their father.

"You pissed my son off," Hart told Fallon. "You were being an ass. He was sick of it. He had enough of you and your stuff."

To prove his point, Hart asked Fallon to read the lyrics of the song he sang at the ceremony. Unsurprisingly, all the jokes were about Hart's height (which Hart recently confirmed to be 5 foot 5): "We all love this little man. He fits in the palm of your hand. Big things come in small packages...He's got a little flair, buys his clothes at Build-A-Bear."

"You see what I'm saying?" Hart asked the audience.

But, to be fair, the lyrics did end with a huge compliment for Hart — just not the kind that little kids should hear. "You might be small, but everybody knows you've got the biggest penis."

The audience cracked up at that. Though Hart implored them "don't support that," Fallon pointed out, "they love it!"

Hart isn't taking the Mark Twain Prize as an excuse to rest on his laurels as he is set to perform at New York City's Radio City Music Hall in March 2025. But more recently, his new limited series Fight Night (which also stars Don Cheadle, Taraji P. Henson, and Samuel L. Jackson) premieres on Peacock this weekend.
