Joey King and Zac Efron in 'A Family Affair'. Netflix Zac Efron says his Netflix movie A Family Affair is like Hollywood's version of The Office The two actors star in the romantic comedy (streaming now) as mega movie star Chris Cole (Efron) and his personal assistant Zara (King). Thanks to his blockbuster action film trilogy, Chris has become so famous that he's lost touch with reality, and his increasingly ridiculous demands ultimately cause Zara to quit. But the aspiring producer has no idea that her decision to leave Chris will set him on a path to find love with none other than her own mother, played by Nicole Kidman. While King isn't shy about Efron's assets in the movie, Efron gets serious about praising King's performance and physical comedy chops. "I'm excited for everyone to see Joey just kick ass in this movie," he says. "There are so many facets to the character, and it's a hard one. You're flawed, but like from an honest place, and you show a lot of growth and there's a full arc there. It's really masterful, really great work." King playfully rolls her eyes as she sighs. "Okay, fine. If we're being nice, then I'll be nice," she says. "Because you steal the show with your humor. He's so funny in this movie. My whole family last night was like, 'God, Zac is hysterical!' I was like, 'I know, I told you.' I couldn't stop talking about how funny you were last night to everybody who was there." Efron reveals he had a similar exchange with his father talking about King. "Well, that's because it's your dad, and that's because it's my grandma," King says. "They're like, 'Yeah, you're great, but also!'" Efron thinks it's because their families have "seen it from us before, so they know we're good." Zac Efron reacts to High School Musical costars Vanessa Hudgens and Ashley Tisdale having babies: 'Fun family reunions coming up' "My dad, he would never bulls--- and he was so genuinely serious," he adds. "So if you made an impression on him..." "Aw, that's sweet," King tells Efron before turning back to EW. "We like each other a lot, can you tell?"
