Leave it to Anna Kendrick to steal the spotlight from an Oscar winner in one of her first major big-screen turns. Then a rising star, Kendrick led Up in the Air alongside none other than George Clooney. Not only did the actress hold her own against the mega-star, she also earned her first Academy Award nomination for the gig, picking up a Best Performance by an Actress in a Supporting Role nod.

Kendrick went serious in 2011, appearing in 50/50 with Joseph Gordon-Levitt, Seth Rogen, Bryce Dallas Howard, and Anjelica Huston. The Oscar-nominated actress played Katherine McKay, a therapist who finally got Adam (Gordon-Levitt) to open up, and stole viewers hearts in the process.

Always one of the most candid celebrities on Twitter, Kendrick took it a step further in January 2013. She made her love for universal boyfriend Ryan Gosling known, tweeting, "Ugh - NEVER going to a Ryan Gosling movie in a theater again. Apparently masturbating in the back row is still considered 'inappropriate.'"
