Gabriel Macht teases return as Harvey Specter on Suits L.A.: 'Time to take care of things'

The actor, who played the charismatic lawyer, posted an Instagram clip of himself wearing Specter's clothes.

Order in the court! Gabriel Macht is teasing Harvey Specter’s return to television screens.

The actor, who played the ambitious and ultra charismatic lawyer for nine seasons on Suits, posted an Instagram video on Wednesday seemingly hinting that he will make an appearance in the legal drama’s forthcoming spinoff, Suits: L.A

The clip, which is set to the tune of the original Suits theme song, features Macht showing off his monogrammed shirt sleeve before stepping into Harvey’s labeled shoes. He captioned the post, “When an old friend is in need…it’s time to take care of things and make those very 'things' right.”

Representatives for Suits: L.A. and Macht did not immediately respond to Entertainment Weekly’s request for comment. However, Deadline reports that Macht is set to reprise his role as part of a three-episode guest arc on the show.

The actor's post also implies that Harvey may have personal history with one of the show’s characters. Despite its West Coast setting, Suits: L.A.’s lead Ted Black (Stephen Amell) is described as a former federal prosecutor from New York, so the pair very well may have had some potential crossover during their shared stints in the Big Apple.

Amell, who previously starred on the CW series Arrow, seemingly confirmed the connection between their characters in a comment on Macht's Instagram post, writing, "The Bat Signal does work!!"

Harvey, of course, traded in his career as a big shot corporate lawyer in favor of moving to Seattle to work alongside his pal Mike (Patrick J. Adams) and his wife, Rachel (Meghan Markle). However, there’s nothing like an old friend in need to pull him back into the action.

Spearheaded by Suits creator Aaron Korsh, Suits: L.A. is set to follow Ted as he copes with his mysterious past while also representing some of the most powerful clients the City of Angels has to offer. Throughout his journey, he’ll be accompanied by a cast of fellow lawyers that bring further drama when they mix their personal and professional lives together.

The new series comes after Suits went viral upon landing on Netflix last year, going on to break streaming records and top the Nielsen charts over the summer.

Macht's potential return to the Suits universe comes after he reunited with fellow alums Adams, Gina Torres, and Sarah Rafferty at the 2024 Golden Globes in January. Speaking on the red carpet, he called the show's recent surge in popularity an "amazing thing," noting that it has "gotten incredible eyes and we're very grateful for it."

Suits: L.A. is set to premiere on Feb. 23 at 9 p.m. ET/8 p.m. CT on NBC.
