Donnie Wahlberg reveals he took the Reagan dinner table from Blue Bloods set and will bring it to Wahlburgers

Donnie Wahlberg might be bringing an iconic Blue Bloods memento to a burger joint near you.

The actor — who co-owns the Boston-based burger chain Wahlburgers with brothers Paul and Mark Wahlberg — is bidding farewell to the multi-generational police procedural by giving new life to a certain Reagan family tradition. Wahlberg recently shared his plan with PEOPLE, while revealing the props that he snagged from the set of Blue Bloods after wrapping on the series finale.

"I took my two Danny Reagan costumes — my blue suit and my dress blues," the actor and singer, 55, told the outlets. "I put them on mannequins and put them in a Wahlburgers."

But Wahlberg didn't stop there. Once he realized that the Reagan family dining table was also up for grabs, he made sure to claim it immediately. "I really had no intention of taking anything from the set until I learned that that table and chairs [were] just sitting in a warehouse somewhere," he shared.

Now, Wahlberg plans to spread the love by setting the Reagan dining room up at various Wahlburger locations, starting at the St. Charles, Ill., spot near his home with wife, Jenny McCarthy.

"I'll set it up where fans can sit at the table and take pictures," the actor said. "And then I'm going to raffle it probably for charity for the DEA, the Detectives Endowment Association, for the Widows and Children's Fund."

Fans of the series are well acquainted with the Reagan dining room setup, which is featured in every single episode of the 14-season long drama. For the show's entire run, the Sunday family dinners have been a staple, bringing the Reagans together no matter the present crisis.

The long-running drama follows the lives of NYPD’s First Family of Law Enforcement: the Reagans. Selleck stars as patriarch and police commissioner Frank Reagan, who leads a family of cops dedicated to protecting their city. Wahlberg, Bridget Moynahan, Will Estes, and Andrew Terraciano star as his children. CBS announced that Blue Bloods would end with its 14th season last fall and, despite pushback from cast members, has repeatedly quashed hopes that it might be renewed.

With the series set to conclude on December 13, fans have just a few Reagan family dinners left to look forward to. Selleck previously teased that the final dinner marked a full circle moment for him, telling TV Insider, "My last scene was ironically family dinner. That was also the first scene I shot on the show 15 years ago."

While he didn't let any details about the finale slip, Selleck said that while filming the scene, “There was crying and there was an enormous amount of hugs.”

Moynahan, who stars as Erin Reagan-Boyle, previously teased the final family dinner to Entertainment Weekly, saying, “There's some nice revelations in that last episode of season 14 that wrap up at that family dinner. For us to go out on such a special family dinner on our last episode, I think will resonate with the fans.”

She added that as fans say their farewells to Erin, Danny (Wahlberg), Jamie (Estes), Henry (Len Cariou), and Frank (Selleck), they may find themselves thrilled and occasionally pained by where everyone ends up. “Fans will really get a kick out of some of 'em,” Moynahan said of the character endings.. “And then there might be a surprise that isn't so hopeful."

Blue Bloods is due to conclude Friday, Dec. 13 on CBS.
