EW's editorial guidelines Published on February 5, 2024 02:04PM EST Billie Eilish and Miley Cyrus bonded over acceptance speech nerves at the 2024 Grammys on Sunday night. Cyrus took home her first Grammy(s) for "Flowers" in the Record of the Year and Best Pop Solo Performance categories, while Eilish and brother Finneas added two more golden gramophones to their collection for "What Was I Made For?," written for Greta Gerwig's summer blockbuster Barbie. As captured by photographers, Eilish and Cyrus shared a moment backstage, and Eilish has revealed details of the chat with ET. “Not to blow up her her spot, but she was asking me if I also feel when I get up on stage that I say the dumbest s--- I could possibly say," Eilish recalled. "I was like, 'Absolutely, 100 percent.' She was like, ‘Why was I saying all that?' Sorry, Miley, but I feel the same. I always get up there and I just poop out of my mouth." Cyrus nabbed her first golden gramophone for Best Pop Solo Performance, which was, much to the delight of the pop star, presented by Mariah Carey. “This MC is going to stand by this MC because this is just too iconic,” Cyrus said on stage. “I was stuck in the rain in traffic and I thought I was going to miss this moment, and I could have missed this award, that’s fine, but not Mariah Carey.” Later, when she took the stage to accept her second Grammy in the Record of the Year category, Cyrus thanked her producers and loved ones before quipping, "I don’t think I forgot anyone, but I might’ve forgotten underwear.
