The ceremony will now air on Monday, Jan. 15 at 8 p.m. ET/5 p.m. PT. It's time to find out if your favorite television shows just became Emmy-nominated television shows. On Wednesday, Community star Yvette Nicole Brown and Television Academy chair Frank Scherma announced this year's nominees for the 75th Annual Emmy Awards, and it resulted in a victory lap for Succession's final season. HBO's hit drama received 27 nominations, including nods for Brian Cox, Kieran Culkin, Jeremy Strong, and Sarah Snook in the Outstanding Lead Actor/Actress in a Drama Series categories alone. Following closely behind are fellow HBO series The Last of Us and The White Lotus, which received 24 and 23 nominations respectively. And there was much to be celebrated about in a galaxy far, far away too. Star Wars series Andor, Obi-Wan Kenobi, and The Mandalorian earned 22 nominations in total, including a coveted Outstanding Drama Series nod for Andor and an Outstanding Limited Series for Obi-Wan Kenobi. In order to be eligible for this year's awards, a television show, limited series, or made-for-TV film must have been released between June 1, 2022, and May 31, 2023. That timeframe includes previous Emmy winners like Succession and Ted Lasso, which both returned for their respective final seasons this year, as well as smash hits like The Bear, The Last of Us, Andor, and more. The awards will be voted upon by the National Active members of the Television Academy. A final round of voting, which will be held from Aug. 18 through Aug. 28, will determine who takes home the hardware when the Emmys ceremony airs live on Monday, Sept. 18, at 8 p.m. ET/5 p.m. PT on Fox.
