Yvette Nicole Brown will guest-star on the ABC family/medical comedy, EW has learned exclusively. She’ll play Amy, the producer of Doctors of Interest, a documentary series that is following around Dr. Ken (Jeong), but a boring day at Ken’s job makes Amy start to think that Ken is not so camera-worthy, prompting Ken to doubt his career choice. The show will include perspective of the camera, a nod to the documentary-style episodes of the actors’ former show. The episode is slated to air Jan. 20. Brown will be the fifth (!) Community alum to appear opposite Jeong. On Jan. 6, Gillian Jacobs will play an intern at Ken’s (Jeong) hospital. Last season, Joel McHale and Danny Pudi appeared together in an episode while Jim Rash was featured in different one. (Alison Brie and Donald Glover, you know what you need to do.) Brown, who currently stars on CBS’ update of The Odd Couple, will also be seen next month in the BET mini-series The New Edition Story. Her other TV credits include The Office, That ’70s Show, and Rizzoli & Isles. Dr. Ken airs Fridays at 8:30 p.m. ET on ABC. Close
