The cover star of SELF’s September issue takes her killer moves from the tennis court to the dance floor in the clip that debuted with the issue, and in just a few minutes she teaches the world how to twerk. She also throws in some transition moves and a basic shake or two, for the complete dance floor experience. “Everyone should at some point, do a twerk,” she says. How does one twerk perfectly, you ask? “Knees bent, get low, tight here and here [points to abs), arch, slowly slide, and twerk and twerk.” Easy, right? Well, maybe for the star of a Beyoncé music video. Williams will compete as part of Team USA in the Rio Summer Olympics kicking off this Friday, and will be back under the lights in New York City at the U.S. Open vying for her 23rd grand slam title, starting Aug. 29.
