TV Article Brandy releases new song 'Beggin & Pleadin' after 'Zoe Ever After' premiere By Jessica Goodman Published on January 6, 2016 01:45PM EST Photo: Earl Gibson/BET/Getty Images Brandy Norwood has put her music career on the back burner since taking on major acting roles in Broadway’s Chicago and BET’s new show Zoe Ever After, which debuted Tuesday night. But the ’90s R&B star gave fans a major treat when, after the premiere, she released a new song, “Beggin & Pleadin.” The track was produced by Oak and Pop, and written by Kirby Lauryen and Norwood. It’s her first release since last year’s “Magic.” “As I grew through the subject matter of this song, I realized that I needed ME to forgive me for not believing what I felt!!!” she wrote in a note on Facebook. “So #deuces.” Brandy spoke to EW earlier this year about her role as Roxie Hart in Chicago, and when asked about putting out new music she said, “I love people and I love entertainment. I love the arts, and this is what I’m here to do.” Close
