James Corden's Inappropriate Musicals on the Late Late Show with Nathan Lane, Rachel Bloom

With help from Nathan Lane and Rachel Bloom, James Corden turned three famously dark movie scenes into whimsical song-and-dance numbers in a new segment called “Inappropriate Musicals.”

On Thursday night’s episode of The Late Late Show, Lane and Corden began the segment dressed as the T-800 and soon-to-be-shot police officer from the first Terminator movie. “I’ll be back …” Lane began, before singing, “I’ll be back, oh! I’ll be back. Don’t you dare go anywhere ’cause I’ll be back.”

Rachel Bloom was delegated to playing literal talking (and singing) heads. First was her part singing “You Make My Head Spin” for The Exorcist — a song that made the horror classic feel like it could be contender for a Tony.

Next, the Crazy Ex-Girlfriend star played the head in the box at the end of Seven. (“What’s in the Box” was a surprisingly catchy tune, considering it was about a grisly murder.)
