TV Article Exclusive A Christmas Horror Story trailer promises shocks, scares, and Shatner By Clark Collis Clark Collis Senior Writer EW's editorial guidelines Published on September 3, 2015 07:58PM EDT Photo: RLJ Entertainment Is Halloween really the scariest holiday? Not according to a clutch of upcoming films which would have us believe that Christmas is the most terrifying time of year. That list of movies includes Trick ‘r Treat filmmaker Michael Dougherty’s Krampus (out Dec. 4) and A Christmas Horror Story, which is released in theaters Oct. 2 and will also be available on VOD and via iTunes from that date. It also features one William Shatner and several diseased elves. And isn’t that what Christmas is really all about?
