Courtney Love shared two Instagram posts about the late Kurt Cobain over the weekend. Both from the same photo session, the first caption was a simple message about missing the Nirvana frontman who died in 1994 at the age of 27. “My greatest love and our precious Bean”, she wrote with the hashtags “missyou” and “memories.”

The second image came with a note directed at Kurt. “Makes me feel so sad. Our baby is all grown up now. Jesus Kurt look at her face, what on earth were you thinking..!?!? God I miss you, we all miss you #family #memories #turnbacktime #lovehim.”

Frances Bean, who was just shy of two years old when her father died, celebrated her 23rd birthday was last week, and she and Love co-produced the heartbreaking documentary about Cobain, Montage of Heck. It debuted earlier this year and brought Cobain’s legacy back into the spotlight.

In the Entertainment Weekly review of the doc, film critic Chris Nashawatay wrote, “In the opening moments of Brett Morgen’s devastatingly intimate documentary Kurt Cobain: Montage of Heck, there’s a series of Super-8 home movies narrated by the late Nirvana frontman’s mother. ‘I was head over heels in love with that child,’ she says as the flickering image of a towhead with bright blue eyes and an even brighter smile waves at the camera. On a hissing old tape recording, she asks her toddler son who he is. And in the tiniest, helium-pitched voice, he replies, ‘I’m Kurt Cobain!” It just about breaks your heart. Could the live-fast-die-young god of grunge ever have been so sweet and innocent?”
