Tyne Daly to guest star on 'Modern Family'

Tyne Daly is set school some youngins’ as a guest star on season 6 of Modern Family.

EW has learned that Daly will play “Mrs. Plank,” who is described as Lilly’s “stern, old-school teacher.” Daly joins a host of recently announced guest stars for the show, which include Steve Zahn and Andrea Anders. The show most recently won the Emmy for Outstanding Comedy Series.

Modern Family returns on Sept. 24 at 9 p.m. ET on ABC.
