TV Article 'Good Morning America': Ben Affleck speaks out on marriage equality By Hillary Busis Published on October 8, 2012 05:53PM EDT Way to go, Ben Affleck — you just ruined Reindeer Games for One Million Moms. The actor stopped by Good Morning America today to discuss his upcoming thriller Argo — and before he left the studio, Affleck took a moment to celebrate GMA weather anchor Sam Champion’s recent engagement. “Oh, I want to congratulate Sam on his upcoming nuptials,” Affleck said as Champion nodded graciously at him from offstage. “It’s to our shame that you can’t get married in every state in the union, but one day I hope you will be able to. It’s very exciting, though. I was very inspired. Moving love story,” the star continued. His stance on marriage should come as no surprise; Affleck has been vocal about his progressive views since 2000, when he urged voters to support Al Gore. Check out Affleck’s pro-equality message — as well as a clip from Argo featuring several glorious ’70s hairdos — in the clip below.
