Both Crane brothers agree: ”Frasier” is over. Kelsey Grammer told TV Guide Online that the upcoming 11th season will be the show’s last, echoing similar comments from costar David Hyde Pierce earlier this year. An NBC spokesperson didn’t immediately return EW.com’s call for comment, and a spokesperson for the show’s production company, Paramount, declined comment. But NBC told TV Guide Online that the future of the show is unclear.

NBC’s license agreement for ”Frasier” runs out next May, Variety reported earlier this year, suggesting that neither Paramount nor NBC planned on renegotiating. NBC already pays Paramount about $5.2 million per episode, according to Variety. And Grammer has said that he hoped ”Frasier” would last as long as Cheers — which happens to be 11 seasons. But maybe Eddie the dog could get a spin-off.
