Happy Housekeeping & Stewarding Week! We are thrilled to announce that, last week, we celebrated the Housekeeping and Stewarding Week at The Barcelona EDITION, and we wanted to share a glimpse of this incredible experience with all of you. The theme for the week was ‘Hawaiian Trip’ inspired, a special journey where our employees were able to join some activities while experiencing the fun Hawaiian spirit. From exclusive breakfasts, lunches, and different meals to some activities, as massages and art classes. An incredible lottery was also organized, where our valued employees could win prizes like special EDITION merchandising or other vouchers, such as spa experiences, corporal treatments, experiences at the Barcelona EDITION, and more. We want to thank all of the participants that took part in this fantastic week and made it possible, everyone that helped with the organization, and of course all of the amazing Housekeeping and Stewarding employees. They are the heart of our hotel, as they create memorable experiences for our guests, and it is important to be thankful for them every day of the year!

At The Barcelona EDITION, we had the privilege of welcoming and hosting Sandeep Walia, COO, Middle East and Luxury EMEA. Sandeep spent valuable time with our Guidance Team, visited all the hotel unique spaces and experienced first-hand some of our restaurants.   We genuinely appreciated his visit and are proud to work under his leadership!

Today, we are proud to celebrate Earth Hour by highlighting the many ways we conserve energy at The Barcelona. EDITION. Solar heat collectors on the rooftop work to pre-heat the hotel’s water with the electricity generated from the sun, LED lighting is used throughout the hotel, all rooms feature fully automated lighting, motion sensor lighting is used at the heart of the house, and we proudly use electricity generated from renewable sources certified by CNMC (Comisión Nacional de los Mercados y la Competencia) #EDITIONEarthHour #EMEAserveourworld   Hoy estamos orgullosos de celebrar la Hora del Planeta destacando las diversas maneras de conservar la energía en The Barcelona. EDITION. Last Friday, the Cambra de Comerç of Ajuntament de Barcelona , and Barcelona Provincial Council once again awarded us the Biosphere© Certificate for our ongoing commitment to Sustainability. Biosphere for Hotels is a tourism sustainability certification designed to assist lodging establishments of this category in meeting international sustainability standards. This certification provides insights, success stories, guidance, and a certificate ensuring that our hotel sets an example to follow. On behalf of The Barcelona EDITION we want to express our sincere gratitude for awarding us the Biosphere Certification. We are proud to receive this recognition for our commitment to sustainability in the tourism sector. We appreciate the opportunity to continue contributing to environmental conservation and the development of responsible tourism practices.

The Barcelona EDITION would like to express our deep gratitude to Escuela Universitaria de Hotelería y Turismo de Sant Pol for providing us with the opportunity to participate in their recent job fair. It has been an honor to represent our brand at this prestigious event and to have the chance to interact with such talented and passionate students. Belén Bandrés Pascual and Alba Delgado Arau, members of our HR team, were representing our enchanting hotel during the fair altogether with other Marriott International HR representatives. The interviews conducted during the fair have left us impressed by the caliber and energy of Escuela Universitaria de Hotelería y Turismo de Sant Pol. We are excited about the possible future collaboration with some of the students we met and contributing to their professional growth in the hospitality industry and in Marriott International.
