⚡71% do Consumo de Eletricidade em Portugal em 2024 é Renovável! Portugal continua a avançar rapidamente na transição energética, com um sistema elétrico cada vez mais verde. Segundo a REN, em 2024, a produção de #energiarenovável totalizou 36,7 TWh, o maior valor já registado no sistema elétrico nacional. Este marco permitiu que as fontes renováveis abastecessem 71% do consumo nacional de eletricidade. 🌍 A #eólica e a #solar, áreas de especialização da SÓLIDA, ocupam o segundo e o terceiro lugar entre as tecnologias renováveis que mais contribuem para a rede de distribuição elétrica portuguesa, atrás da hídrica. A eólica representa 27% da distribuição e a solar 10%. 🔋O Ministério do Ambiente e Energia lançou um concurso com €99,75 milhões para promover o armazenamento de energia na rede elétrica, visando instalar 500 MW de capacidade até 2025, como parte do Plano de Recuperação e Resiliência (PRR). SÓLIDA at WFES 2025 🌍 Our colleague, Daniel Aguilar, is representing SÓLIDA at the World Future Energy Summit (WFES) 2025, held in Abu Dhabi as part of the Abu Dhabi Sustainability Week - ADSW, the world’s largest forum for renewables and sustainability. This event takes place at a time of significant momentum in the region, highlighted by recent project announcements such as EWEC PV5, with 1.5 GW of solar power, and SPPC6, which includes solar and wind projects totalling 4.5 GW. These initiatives demonstrate the strong involvement of developers and EPC contractors in the region, fostering innovative and highly competitive frameworks to deliver large-scale projects. Looking ahead to 2025, countries such as Kuwait, Saudi Arabia and UAE are emerging as key markets for new renewable energy opportunities. La energía #eólica lidera la #generación eléctrica en #España en 2024 🌬️⚡ En 2024, las energías renovables consolidaron su papel clave en el mix energético español, alcanzando el 55,8% de la producción eléctrica total, según los datos provisionales de Red Eléctrica. La eólica destacó como la principal fuente de generación, con 60.846 GWh, representando el 22,9% del total y superando a otras tecnologías. According to Ember, here are the key highlights reshaping our energy systems: 1️⃣ Solar supercharges renewables: A record-breaking 593 GW of solar was installed globally, a 29% increase from last year, cementing its role as a driver of the renewable revolution. 2️⃣ New solar superpowers emerge: Beyond China, nations like Chile and regions like Rajasthan in India are leading the charge, achieving unprecedented shares of solar in their electricity mix. 3️⃣ Batteries take off: With prices falling and capacity increasing, grid-scale batteries are set to transform energy storage.
