Last Friday we closed off our #induction week, where we officially welcomed our newest members of the 2024 Santander Corporate & Investment Banking #Graduate #Program in our Madrid HQ. Over the course of five days, they got a comprehensive introduction to the world of Santander CIB and the culture that makes us a world-class #investment #bank. Their week began with three days of deep dives into the core of our #business, which allowed our graduates to gain #insights on the different business areas. The event hosted by Beatriz López-Riobóo Pérez-Cepeda welcomed various Santander CIB representatives such as Georgina Ferro, Rafael Noya, Carlos Muñiz González-Blanch, Javier Rodriguez de Colmenares and Jose Mayoral Gil-Casares, among others. We capped off with a 2-day trip to Segovia where our graduates had the chance to tune up their #communication and #presentation skills alongside other useful soft skills at the IE Business School campus, an experience which also provided a valuable opportunity for them to meet the other members of the program and take their first steps in #networking with their peers. We are thrilled to watch this group of talented individuals begin their #careers and contribute to the #growth of Santander CIB. Welcome to the team!

Santander Corporate & Investment Banking is proud to have supported Stonepeak in the acquisition of the largest US offshore wind project upon completion in 2026. We acted as Financial Advisor, Coordinating Lead Arranger, Global Coordinator, and Syndication Agent in the project debt financing for the acquisition of a 50% stake in the Coastal Virginia Offshore Wind project from Dominion Energy. This deal not only represents a significant step in the US energy transition, but also reinforces our leading position in renewables and in offshore wind both in the US and globally. Finbourne successfully closed £100mn+ Series B funding round – the largest enterprise #FinTech #capital #raise in 2024 thus far – with Santander CIB acting as Exclusive Financial Advisor. InDebted’s A$60mn Series C funding round – the largest Series C capital raise in Australia this year – also saw Santander CIB act as Exclusive Financial Advisor and Placement Agent. These back-to-back mandates highlight the excellent collaboration between Santander CIB’s Equity Private Capital Markets and FinTech teams, all geared towards delivering exceptional results for our clients. Last week, Copenhagen hosted EuroFinance International Treasury Management, the world’s most influential #treasury #conference. Our team met with #clients and facilitated workshops, always with the objective of complementing their #business #growth. Our sophisticated solutions allow treasurers to process #payments and manage assets. We appreciate that teams in a payment factory can be very different and embrace that opportunity to offer customized solutions from our delivery suite. At Santander Corporate & Investment Banking, we have been working alongside Swift and #global companies such as #pharmaceutical major Roche as part of a pilot to achieve a significant #milestone in the #financial #landscape. For the first time, a #corporation has tracked a #live #payment by directly accessing Swift’s tracker. Under this pioneering service, corporates can access #real-time #information about their incoming and outgoing #payments directly from Swift in a bank-agnostic manner, increasing transparency and lowering costs. Santander Corporate & Investment Banking and Roche are part of a working group of leading #cash #management #key #players gathered by Swift to empower corporate customers to benefit from the evolution of the payment landscape shaped by CBPR+.
