At Jolt, we understand that companies using activated electrodes (manufacturers of electrolysers & redox flow batteries, organizations developing eFuels & carbon reduction solutions, and so on) need to gain a competitive edge in order to scale quickly. The stable supply of low cost, greener, more efficient electrodes can give them this edge. Our SPARKFUZE process introduces a 21st century standard for catalytic coatings, unlocking a number of important sectors, especially green hydrogen, & decarbonizing industry. Jolt electrodes are easy to integrate in existing industrial designs, yet Jolt´s patented SPARKFUZE process is transformative in terms of scaling, cost effectiveness, durability and energy efficiency. Catalysis is the invisible core at the heart of much of the energy and industry sectors - yet it remains a last century technology. We believe that by focusing on this overlooked fundamental “core”, we can generate transformative economic, social and climate impact. Jolt Solutions is the largest spinoff of ICIQ, a prestigious global research institute ranked amongst the world’s top five, and one of the few focused on catalysis, electrolysis and Solar to X. Our pioneering PhD team of chemists, material scientists and physicists are supported by leading Climate funds and public bodies. Our process is moving from lab to fab at speed – we have scaled from TLR 3 to TLR9 in only 2 years, with our first clean 4 GW factory already operating and supplying customers from April 2024.

When ideas become reality... Congratulations JOLT on your new factory! During our stay for the EIT InnoEnergy #tbb2024 in Barcelona, Achmed and I took the opportunity to visit the new Jolt - Activated Electrodes for Electrolysis production hall in Barcelona. Leon Rizzi gave us a warm welcome, even though he was very busy showing the new hall and the production process to other delegations. JOLT is one of the start-ups from the H2UB #HYDROVERSE and participated in the H2UB SPRINT #3. The use of Jolt electrodes can boost the performance of electrolysers in terms of efficiency & durability without using PGM. Since then, we have been following the company's development and now we were able to see how things are taking shape: the new production hall and headquarters show how ideas and excellent scientific knowledge have now been translated into a production facility, capable of manufacturing electrodes on a large scale. Impressive to see - we will continue to support this great start-up for the benefit of ramping-up of the the #hydrogen market. #hydrogenteamwork #startups

Despite the failed arrival of our pop-up stand we made the most Hydrogen Technology Expo Europe and had a number of interesting chats with new & existing customers. Validation testing of Jolt - Activated Electrodes for Electrolysis electrodes continues to progress well. Jolt's patented production techique continues to produce good quality electrodes which can be produced at the largest scale available on the market.
