👩🏫 Esta mañá contamos coa primeira visita escolar do curso no programa #Incrustate. Un proxecto de divulgación científica que busca inspirar a vocación científica e investigadora ao alumnado de IES, Bacherelato e FP. 🔬 Tras pasar polo CICA os diversos centros escolares, poderán presentarse a un proceso de selección para entrar nunha estadía de 3 días no centro e traballar man a man cos investigadores das liñas ACeS, BMed ou NeMA. Unha oportunidade única para a xuventude de coñecer de primeira man todo este sector e quizais descubrir a súa paixón pola investigación científica. A project of scientific dissemination that look for inspiring scientific and research vocation to students of IES, Bachiller and FP. After visiting CICA, the students will be able to take part in a selection process to enter a 3-day stay at the centre and work with researchers from the ACeS, BMed or NeMA lines. This is a unique opportunity for young people to get to know this sector first-hand and perhaps discover their passion for scientific research. Daniel Nieto, distinguished researcher at CICA, has visited this week The Wake Forest University Institute for Regenerative Medicine, in North Carolina, where he has presented a seminar about its latest research on "Advanced Biofabrication Technology for Tissue Engineering and Regenerative Medicine". Also, he had the opportunity to show the DLP Bioprinter, project in collaboration with the 3D biofabrication company, Health Biolux, and CICA. We are glad that the group of Advanced Biofab, leading by Daniel Nieto, has been based in our centre working on a translational bioengineering research, focusing on innovating solutions for 3D bioprinting and biofabrication. Ademais, tivo a oportunidade de mostrar a Bioimpresora DLP, proxecto en colaboración coa empresa de biofabricación 3D, Health Biolux, e o CICA. Alegrámonos de que o grupo de Advanced Biofab, liderado por Daniel Nieto, instalarase no noso centro para traballar nunha investigación de bioenxeñería traslacional, centrándose en solucións innovadoras para a bioimpresión 3D e a biofabricación.

Esta semana tenemos a la Berta Cillero Pastor en nuestro Ciclo de Conferencias #CICA. Viene desde MERLN Institute for Technology-Inspired Regenerative Medicine donde es profesora asociada e investigadora principal del #CilleroLab en el que desarrollan herramientas moleculares para estudiar nuevos fármacos y clasificadores moleculares para el fenotipo do de pacientes en el contexto de envejecimiento.

I am ecstatic to share that I will be joining the lab of Prof. Bradley Moore at the UC San Diego for a 2-year postdoctoral research stay sponsored by the Fulbright Spain Commission and the Xunta de Galicia postdoctoral grant. I am truly honored to have been selected by these two prestigious organizations and look forward to contributing to cutting-edge research and science!
