Raising awareness of the importance of avoiding food waste is very important, and we need to reach as many people as possible. The European Food Information Council (EUFIC) has developed a comprehensive set of recommendations for communication about healthy & sustainable eating to consumers with low socio-economic status, based on their research conducted together with Fondazione Diocesana Caritas Trieste Onlus. A very useful tool to bring reliable information about food and health to vulnerable populations and help raise awareness about the importance of the dietary shift.

The Food Waste Index Report 2024 by the UN Environment Programme (UNEP) was launched today. We have more and more accurate data on food loss and waste (FLW), and the picture it depicts urges us to take action.
UNEP’s just-released 2024 #FoodWasteIndex Report provides global estimates of food waste, which allows countries to comprehend the magnitude of the issue and develop action plans across all sectors. It’s a key resource launched ahead of this week’s #ZeroWasteDay which focuses on how businesses, consumers and governments can come together to #BeatWastePollution.
