Aifed is coordinating Metaversing, a Youth Civil Cooperation project aligned with the main goals of the "Advancing Europe’s Digital Decade" declared by UE. At a pivotal moment for digital transformation, Metaversing aligns with the goals of the Digital Decade of Europe, aiming to promote ethical and sustainable use of the Metaverse. This project empowers youth with digital skills and fosters an environment that encourages inclusivity and respect for digital rights. 🔹 Key Elements: • Digital Skills: The emphasis on a high percentage of the population acquiring basic digital capabilities is crucial for ensuring everyone can benefit from a digital environment. • Connectivity: The proposed Gigabit connectivity across Europe complements the use of the Metaverse as a safe and collaborative learning space. • Digital Rights: The European Declaration on Digital Rights and Principles establishes a framework that supports diversity and promotes equality in the digital realm. Working on Youth Civil Cooperation in Oaxaca de Juárez, México. AIFED had the honor of visiting the Luis Sarmiento Institute (INLUSA) in Oaxaca, Mexico, where we presented Metaversing, an initiative exploring the metaverse's potential to innovate in education and foster meaningful academic connections. This event emphasized the importance of civil collaboration and building transatlantic synergies to strengthen youth development. With 25 years of history, INLUSA prepares its students not only with academic skills but with core values like responsibility, discipline, honesty, and solidarity, equipping them for the challenges of an interconnected world. Such partnerships between institutions in America and Europe are essential, especially as knowledge must cross borders in today’s global context. As Octavio Paz wrote, “Its movement is its form,” and the Atlantic Ocean symbolizes a constant flow of ideas and knowledge that links our shores.
