Black Education Edit-a-thon
Hallowed Grounds Edit-a-thon Come contribute to Wikipedia articles related to the Civil Rights Movement in Nashville and throughout the South. Seasoned editors and new users all welcome.This year our focus is Hallowed Grounds: Sites of African American Memory. Add to the story using the library's Civil Rights Collection. 11:30 am - training session for new Wikipedia editors. Please bring a laptop with you.
Superheroes Edit-a-thon The Nashville Public Library is hosting a "Superheroes Wikipedia Edit-a-thon" to create and edit Wikipedia articles about your favorite superheroes from comics, movies, video games, or better yet, real life. Our goal is to have fun, teach people about Wikipedia, and help make Wikipedia better. This program is part of Summer Challenge. Participating counts towards your Summer Challenge goals. This Wikipedia training and Edit-a-thon will take place in the Commons Room on the third floor of the Main library downtown. Please bring a laptop with you.
Our Story Matters Editathon Join us in the Special Collections Center of the Main Library to explore African American History in Nashville and Tennessee! Come learn how to create and edit Wikipedia articles! Participants can utilize the Civil Rights Collection or other Special Collections holdings to write about important African Americans in our local history and your work will be instantly available to a worldwide audience!
