Regions of Morocco

[edit]

Greetings,

regarding your last edit in Regions of Morocco, do you have any official sources for the proposed Regional new configuration? (Maps, names, etc...).

Thanks, Regards Tachfin (talk) 20:21, 15 July 2011 (UTC)[reply]

Yes of course I have official sources -> I'll put them right now on the concerned wikiarticle. Regards, Zambitious (talk) 22:58, 15 July 2011 (UTC)[reply]

Good source, lots of data in there, well done. Regards Tachfin (talk) 08:23, 16 July 2011 (UTC)[reply]

Western Sahara protests

[edit]

No worries If I had a dime for every simple error I've made, I'd be rich. I'm glad to see more editors working on Western Sahara-related material on Wikipedia. —Justin (koavf)TCM04:20, 16 July 2011 (UTC)[reply]

Hi,
As you contributed to Morocco and Western Sahara related articles, I think you might be interested in this discussion. Your input would be appreciated.

Hello Tachfin, thank you for warning me, if there's ANYTHING concerning Western Sahara, I'd be happy to be aware. Thank you again, Zambitious (talk) 21:49, 21 August 2011 (UTC)[reply]

Thanks I'm glad that you've updated this information about the new Libya, but you shouldn't create an alternate map, upload it here on Wikipedia, and not give credit to the original creator. What you should do is simply upload a new version of the map at Wikimedia Commons--commons:File:Western Sahara positions.png. 00:35, 7 November 2011 (UTC)

Hi Koavf, I don't know how to upload it to commons, but please don't revert/undo my contributions because the most important is still the information. However, I do perfectly agree that we shall update the old map. I'm thanking you greatly for this remark and I'll be welcoming your future remarks gladly. Zambitious (talk) 01:08, 7 November 2011 (UTC)[reply]

Okay I'll upload it--that's fine--but you can't create duplicate maps here on Wikipedia that don't properly credit how they were derived. —Justin (koavf)TCM01:11, 7 November 2011 (UTC)[reply]
Also Please use the color scheme from before--it breaks the legend for the map. Go ahead and amend it yourself, then I can put it on Commons if you'd like (post to my talk.) —Justin (koavf)TCM01:12, 7 November 2011 (UTC)[reply]
No problem I know that licenses and copyrights and Wikimedia Commons can be confusing--please let me know if I can help in the future. Briefly put, if you've got an image that you made based on somebody else's, you have to give credit. Also, if that image is freely-licensed to share, then it should go on Commons (you already have an account there since you have one here at Wikipedia.) For what it's worth, some images aren't free, so they have to be uploaded here and given a fair-use rationale, such as Category:Album covers. I'll upload it in a minute and it should be visible once you refresh your browser's cache. —Justin (koavf)TCM01:30, 7 November 2011 (UTC)[reply]

Call for Wikipedians in Residence in Africa

[edit]

Hello,

I hope you are well and thriving!! WikiAfrica has just put out a call for two Wikipedians in Residence. One in Cape Town at WikiAfrica, at the Africa Centre; and the other for WikiAfrica Cameroon in Douala, at doual’art. If you are interested, please contact either Marilyn [marilyn.doualabell@doualart.org] for the WikiAfrica Cameroon call or Isla [islahf@africacentre.net] for the WikiAfrica position in Cape Town.

If you are not interested in applying, I would be very grateful if you could spread this call far and wide among your networks to ensure that both projects get excellent candidates. Here is the link for the information page: http://www.wikiafrica.net/two-wikipedians-in-residence-for-africa/

Best regards, Islahaddow

Hello,

Recently, a major change was made on the article Flag of Western Sahara, by merging it with Flag of the Sahrawi Arab Democratic Republic .

Since you participated to the RfC discussion on Talk:Flag_of_Western_Sahara, you might be interested by a related discussion on ANI or, at least, you might be interested in participating to the recently launched discussion on Talk:Flag of Western Sahara.
