Otaka-class?
[edit]The article says
- "On 30 July, Tarpon again headed for Japanese home waters. On 16 August, she sighted a Japanese task force which included an aircraft carrier of the Otaka-class"
I have serious doubts about this claim. First, I've never heard of an "Otaka-class" carrier. Second, Blair's Silent Victory, the authoritative source on the Pacific subwar, makes no mention of this attack; a carrier is such a high-value target, he can hardly have failed to. Third, DANFS is derived from wartime records, which are notorious for exaggeration & error. Corroboration is certainly necessary. Trekphiler 14:30, 5 February 2007 (UTC)
Porpoise Class?
[edit]The article states she was a Porpoise class submarine. However, the Navy refers to her as one of two Shark class submarines: http://www.history.navy.mil/photos/sh-usn/usnsh-t/ss175.htm Obxdiver (talk) 17:39, 20 January 2014 (UTC)
