Relationships
[edit]Several months ago I edited Jesse Spencer's personal life section to include 2 more relationships that he had after he broke up with Jennifer Morrison, he dated pro surfer Maya Gabeira for 3 years and is currently dating Kali Woodruff. But the infos for both these relationships were quickly deleted from his page, and I don't understand why because these are very significant relationships and I believe should be included on his page. I was tempted to undo the deletion and add these relationships to his page again, but I don't want to start an editing war with other users in case someone deletes these info from his page again, so I decided to ask for a second opinion here. So what do you think? Should his other relationships be included on his page?

[edit]NPOV - "He often appears to have a British Accent" - I'm Australian, & Spencer NEVER seems to have a British accent Gtoomey 12:06, 16 November 2005 (UTC)
His accent is undisguised Australian, never British (which, incidentally, is not a good description of any accent, since "British" incorporates Scottish, Welsh, Northern Irish as well as the various regional accents of England. Saying an accent is "British" is like saying someone has an African accent).
Victoria does not have a Senate, so the Information about his mother is somewhat incorrect. However, she has certainly been involved with One Nation and AAFI.
NB: No article about the movie "Swimming Upstream" exists. (Swimming Upstream is also a novel by Australian author Anthony Fingleton)
His Father andboth of his brothers are both doctors and he has said that if he was not into acting we would have probably gone into it as well. I think this is a little funny considering his role on House M.D.
For the movie "UPTOWN GIRLS" he plays a singer/guitarist and for real he was in a choir for years and plays the violin, guitar and Piano.... He hadn't picked up his guitar in years and had to re - learn a lot when he got the role.
Does anyone think that his career as a male model is important enough to include? I was looking through a book of hair style models in a local salon when I saw his picture. I can find sources. 69.142.50.135 03:41, 29 October 2007 (UTC)
Parents
[edit]OK, the section (sourced) on his parents keeps getting added and taken away. Can we try and reach a consensus here on this please, so that the article can have a modicum of stability?
As I see it, any biography should make reference to the subject's parents, they are, after all, an integral part of a person's life! I suspect that the issue that people are having is that his parents are founders of a political party, and the question is perhaps do his parents political views, which are fairly obvious by the nature of the party, have any automatic bearing on Jesse Spencer himself? Probably not, and certainly the sources provided make no reference to Jesse Spencer's opinions on his parents views nor their party. Versions of the text on his parents have perhaps been rather partial, and that is something we should be steering away from as per WP:NPOV.
Thoughts? --Ged UK (talk) 09:25, 22 January 2009 (UTC)
- So we agree that this is notable, that parents who are slightly famous in their own right should have a sentence about that included because they're an important part of the child's life. I also agree that we're unlikely to get any sourced info on Jesse Spencer's own opinions but I didn't see anyone trying to insert that. The phrasing didn't strike me as terribly POV but go ahead and give the same info in a different way.
- Maybe also mention that Robyn later became the immigration spokesperson and the head of the Victorian branch of the (much more famous) One Nation party. And then she had a falling out with them in 1999[1]. But then she rejoined[2] in 2001... Oh, no! It seems she might need a page of her own soon. Nick (talk) 14:47, 22 January 2009 (UTC)
- So, no objections? I'll re-insert the info. Feel free to change the wording. Nick (talk) 19:23, 30 January 2009 (UTC)
- If it just says 'his parents founded the [[name]] party' then fine. I don't see why mentioning it's politics is necessary, people can click the link if tehy want to read more. --Ged UK (talk) 22:09, 30 January 2009 (UTC)
Most known for...
[edit]Is he really most known as Dr Chase or Billy Kennedy? I'd think the later... Nicwright (talk) 11:21, 29 April 2009 (UTC)
I agree, Billy Kennedy all the way...
