Military Service?
[edit]If he turned pro at 25 in 1983 there's no way he could have served in the USMC during the Vietnam War.
I fought Jesse at the Ohio State Fair in 1980 and he was in the Marines then. Rick Higgins
Awful Grammar and Time Span Issues in Article
[edit]Who wrote this article and why hasn't it been edited? The time span jumps back in forth. For example we are talking about Feguson's matches in the 90's, and then it says "His next match" in the 1980's with Mike Tyson. The grammar is atrocious. For example the author talks about Ferguson's fight with Mercer and "teeing off" on him. And then says Mercer "infamously (and allegedly)". Please explain how you can infamously and also allegedly, it is either one or the other. After we are told of Ferguson "teeing off" on Mercer, it suddenly states that Ferguson senses the fight "slipping" away. Exactly why was that inserted, since there was no statement that he was "teeing off" and when it started "slipping" away? This is just awful writing.MPA 17:50, 13 June 2009 (UTC) —Preceding unsigned comment added by MPA (talk • contribs)
