Ot is not a teaching or a religious belief of any sorts just the same as materialism is not necessarily a doctrine. They are views. Or as we wrote a form of philosophical monism. It is an ontological claim. A "view" or "claim" is a better word, than a doctrine. It could be called "a conclusion" derived from assuming empiricism, this is what Berkeley did in his treaty.
