Kris Statlander is an American professional wrestler signed to All Elite Wrestling.

Early life and training

After working professionally as a stunt double,[2] Statlander began her professional wrestling training under Pat Buck and Curt Hawkins in Create A Pro Wrestling Academy in Hicksville, New York in 2016.[3] She later became the first female graduate of the program.[4]

Professional wrestling career

Statlande made her professional wrestling debut on June 14, 2017.[1][5]

Statlander made an appearance for WWE on SmackDown Live in April 2019, teaming with Karissa Rivera in a losing effort to then-WWE Women's Tag Team Champions Billie Kay and Peyton Royce.[6] She later competed in an intergender match against Joey Janela at an event for the Beyond Wrestling promotion in June in a losing effort.[7]

She made her debut for All Elite Wrestling (AEW) on November 27, competing in a tag team match alongside Big Swole against Riho and Britt Baker on AEW Dark, where Statlander and Swole were defeated.[8] In December, AEW announced that Statlander has signed with the promotion.[9] Following her signing, she defeated Baker on the December 18 episode of AEW Dynamite to become the No. 1 contender for the AEW Women's World Championship.[10] She made her final appearance for Create A Pro Wrestling, the promotion under which she trained, on December 20.[11] She is set to face Riho for a title opportunity on January 1, 2020.[12]
