Hundreds of broken talk archives

While patrolling a new page and checking backlinks, I found several hundred talk pages that use the User:ClueBot III/ArchiveThis template without the required "archiveprefix" parameter. This results in each of these pages having an archivebox with a bunch of random articles linked in it. I found an example of an instance where this issue was fixed, here, but this now needs to be done for all these pages. Any suggestions on how to fix this? The corresponding index page for each of these talk pages would also need to be cleared, like so. Bradv 02:29, 2 June 2018 (UTC)

I've made a list of all the affected pages here. I suspect this may be a manual process, but perhaps someone can confirm the best strategy. Bradv 03:00, 2 June 2018 (UTC)
ClueBot's doing this to user talk pages as well, which aren't listed here. Here's an example from 10 minutes ago. Bradv 04:28, 2 June 2018 (UTC)
I've actually gone ahead and edited the template to warn about this when it happens, and to put the page into a category: Category:Talk pages with broken ClueBot III templates. That should fill up with all of the broken pages soon. -- Cobi(t|c|b) 07:15, 2 June 2018 (UTC)
I think I've gone through them all and fixed them. We'll see if your backlinks page clears out the next time ClueBot III runs. -- Cobi(t|c|b) 08:06, 2 June 2018 (UTC)
Most of them appear to have been cleaned up, with the exception of the ones with special characters. See here. Bradv 14:14, 2 June 2018 (UTC)

What does NG mean? — Preceding unsigned comment added by 84.147.35.23 (talk) 14:48, 26 May 2018 (UTC)

According to User:ClueBot NG/FAQ, it stands for "Next Generation" -- John of Reading (talk) 15:26, 26 May 2018 (UTC)
It is indeed New Generation owing to the fact that it replaced User:ClueBot.--5 albert square (talk) 23:08, 28 May 2018 (UTC)

I have unreviewed a page you curated

Hi, I'm Joe Roe. I wanted to let you know that I saw the page you reviewed, Pantyliner, and have un-reviewed it again. If you have any questions, please ask them on my talk page. Thank you.

False positive

This doesn't look like vandalism to me. The (new) user who was reverted is quite upset about it, and has brought it up at WP:ANI here. Steve Smith (talk) 19:41, 3 June 2018 (UTC)

If I ever get messages, if my talk page goes over 5120 bytes, will this bot archive my talk page

I would like a bot to archive my talk page. Confirmed User (talk) 20:52, 5 June 2018 (UTC)

Hi Confirmed User read this.--5 albert square (talk) 21:56, 5 June 2018 (UTC)

There seems to be no way to change the link to the archive index link. I would like to link to User talk:Porkchop Jr./Archives. I don’t want to change it to {{archives}}. Or maybe enable talk header with archives on my page. Here is my talk page. Thanks! Porkchop Jr. 13:48, 20 June 2018 (UTC)

"ANN"?

Can "ANN" be translated into English? To cite an "ANN score" as a reason to revert someone's edit without attempting to say what that is seems abusive. Michael Hardy (talk) 00:35, 22 June 2018 (UTC)

This is what ANN is. To be honest to go into it in more detail on the warning would likely confuse people and give vandals an advantage. I'm sure this was asked before and that was the response Cobi gave. Personally I don't find any of the bot's messages offensive.--5 albert square (talk) 01:04, 22 June 2018 (UTC)
5 albert square (talk · contribs) is absolutely right, but this is all broken down in less technical terms on the bot's own userpage at User:ClueBot NG#Vandalism Detection Algorithm. Hopefully that helps? -- Cobi(t|c|b) 07:30, 22 June 2018 (UTC)
