A note about International Nudibranch Day on March 6th

[edit]

Dear Ngwilson, I welcome you to Wikipedia. I hope you will be able to enjoy working here and make more contributions. However the article you prepared in your sandbox and then posted in article space, International Nudibranch Day, has no references at all, and that is a problem.

It seems as if International Nudibranch Day is something you wish existed, but that does not yet exist. There seem to be no reliable sources to back up the claim that it exists.

If I am wrong and this does exist and can be proved with reliable third party published sources, please let me know, and we can fix up the article as needed. :)

All best wishes, Invertzoo (talk) 17:25, 6 March 2016 (UTC)[reply]

Update

[edit]

I was able to "move" the article to a different title, and change the emphasis a bit. That is called "rescuing' it. Now it will be fine and will not get deleted.

By the way... are you Nerida Wilson of the Marine Invertebrates Lab at the Australia Museum in Sydney?

If so, then it's really nice to meet you. I am Susan J. Hewitt. I am from Britain but I live in NYC. I am a series amateur who studies mollusks -- I have 43 publications. Best wishes, Invertzoo (talk) 19:07, 6 March 2016 (UTC)[reply]

WikiProject Gastropods

[edit]

We do have a project on here which is all about improving the extent and quality of Wikipedia's coverage of gastropods. Maybe you would be interested in joining?

Take a look now at the article you started (which has changed a lot) and look at its talk page. On the talk page you will see a link to the gastropod project and its talk page.

Best to you, Invertzoo (talk) 19:17, 6 March 2016 (UTC)[reply]

Discussing your edits

[edit]

Dear Ngwilson, You have not replied to any of the messages I have left here on your talk page, and you have not commented on any post on the talk page of the article that you started. I must give you the benefit of the doubt and assume that you don't know that these pages exist. But on Wikipedia it is important to work in collaboration with others, and that requires discussing things. I would like to encourage you to talk things through on your talk page or on the article talk page instead of edit-warring. Please talk here instead of emailing me in person. Thank you. Invertzoo (talk) 00:21, 8 March 2016 (UTC)[reply]

Hello, and welcome to Wikipedia. I noticed that you removed some content from Symposia and workshops on opisthobranchs without explaining why. In the future, it would be helpful to others if you described your changes to Wikipedia with an accurate edit summary. If this was a mistake, don't worry; I restored the removed content. If you would like to experiment, please use the sandbox. If you think I made a mistake, or if you have any questions, you can leave me a message on my talk page. Thank you!
